The 2.5L I-5 found in mk5 Jetta and Rabbit with stock valvetrain was limited to around 6500rpm. With any factory valvetrain there is a limit for performance, so Ferrea has developed a valve train solution to not only allow higher rev limits, but to allow for big hp, and higher EGT's. Ferrea Valvetrain components are of the highest quality availble. They have super alloy materials that are used in the exhaust valves of this kit. The competitions valves are made of inconel and rated to 1750deg egt, where Ferrea's super alloy is good for 2400!!!! That's a huge difference. With this kit (lifter shims being very integral) you can bring the 2.5L into the 8k rpm range without issue. Order with confidence, you are getting the best product available for your 2.5L.
