These rod bearings are recommended for built motor 4cly vw engines that are making in excess of 400whp and revving over 8000rpm. We have actual data where factory rod bearings under high power and rpm failed. These bearings have been used in many of our high whp street and race cars without fail. These bearings are coated with calicos anti friction coating and are an HX beaing, harder and extra clearance (.001+) over a factory rod bearing. Dont put your race motor together without them!
